2021 Winners!

$5,000 – Delta Sigma Theta Sorority – Jacksonville Alumnae Chapter –
(Jacksonville – Duval County)

The EMBODI Program is designed to increase the number of African American males
who attend college or vocational school beyond K-12 education, develop life skills for
independent living and gain a commitment to community service and charity.

$5,000 – PACE Center for Girls (Gainesville – Alachua County)
“Reading is Fundamental” is a dedicated reading class taught by a certified reading
specialist who directs an intense reading program with components designed to meet
the needs of a broad range of reading skill levels.

$2,500 – Florida State University School Track Team (Tallahassee – Leon County)
The grant will provide the opportunity to replace and purchase equipment that will benefit
the athletes and coaches for the 6th – 12th grade track and field program.

$2,500 – Folkston Elementary STEM Bins (Folkston, GA – Charlton County)
Hands-on STEM (Science, Technology, Engineering, Math) Bins will encourage students
to solve problems, explore, engineer, and more.

The McDonald’s Owner/Operators of North Florida and South Georgia is fueling the imagination, education and growth of area students with Golden Grants, a local program that supports individuals, educators, programs and organizations serving students grades K-12.

Grants will be awarded in the following amounts based on creativity and hands-on application of projects:

  • Two $5,000 grants
  • Two $2,500 grants
  • Total: $15,000

Qualifying activities include, but are not limited to, the following, as long as need is demonstrated:

  • Arts activities
  • Education initiatives
  • Mentorship and empowerment programs
  • After-school programs
  • Community service
  • Sports activities
  • Technology
  • Efforts related to COVID-19
